Arlberg Trailrun
Run and perform yet still take in and enjoy the scenery. This is not a contradiction in terms at the Arlberg Trailrun.
On beautiful hiking trails you conquer the approx. 23 kilometre route an pass the majestic summits of Karhorn, Omeshorn and Mohnenfluh.
This running track was the original track of the "Arlberg Runs" running competition until 2018. This is no longer taking place. However, the course is still a highlight for all running enthusiasts.
Directions
From the start at sport.park.lech, the route leads via the lower Flühenweg trail on a wide forest track into Stubenbach. The path then gets narrower and continues through the forest.
The Lech is crossed using a wooden bridge before the route continues to Bodenalpe. The route crosses the road here and then follows a steep meadow path up the slope until another forest track is reached. The route continues upwards towards Bürstegg (which is where the Fitness Run branches off on a different route) until the Steffisalp-Express is reached. The terrain is now a bit gentler until the Hochalp hut is reached.
There is then a short climb to the top of Saloberkopf, and then it is all downhill until the Lower Auenfeldalpe. The route then features some gentle ascents and descents while heading towards Oberlech, and the final 3 km down to Lech is on tarmac.
